Back in January I photographed St Jerome’s Laneway Festival at the Footscray Community Arts Centre for my seventh year in a row. I was there to mainly shoot the event production for Architects Of Entertainment, but still made time to shoot some bands – some of the stand out performances were Camp Cope (my current favourite), Aurora, Gang Of Youths and Tame Impala.
Looking back through all these shots now is making me long for the next Australian summer festival season to hit!
All photos shot with my Nikon D800 and D810, with 70-200mm f2.8 and 14-24mm f2.8 lenses.
This year I was shooting not only the festival but the bump in the day before as well – Architects Of Entertainment were after some before and after shots to illustrate what they’d created. After so many years of attending Laneway, it was pretty cool to be able to stand on the empty stages and imagine what the following day was going to be like.
