Highlights Of 2015

2015 was a pretty good year for gigs, here’s some quick stats: • I photographed 149 bands, at 18 different venues in Melbourne and Sydney • 100 of these were bands I had never shot before • I attended 36 gigs, 27 of these I photographed • I photographed 7 festivals (4 of these were music festivals) • Tour of the year for me: Smashing Pumpkins I think 2015 will always be remembered (for me anyway) as the year that Soundwave Festival ended. Big Day Out 2014

Another year, another Big Day Out in Melbourne. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best to start a summer festival, but it was a nice change from the 40 degree days we’ve had in previous years when I almost fainted from carrying too much camera gear! Highlights from the day for me were Arcade Fire, Bo Ningen, Deftones and Major Lazer. Unfortunately only two photographers were allowed to shoot Pearl Jam, so I had to get a sneaky shot from the crowd instead. You can view the full set photos on my Flickr.
