Travel: London Street Art

I decided to put together a collection of my favourite street art shots from my trip to London in September 2014. Even though I didn’t specifically seek out areas known for street art or do a tour, I had heard that East London was the place to go. There was quite alot of nice pieces around Camden too. Both areas were great, and I would highly recommend checking them out if you’re ever in London. Here’s some of my favourites, and you can view more on my Flickr. All photos shot with my Nikon D800 and 35mm f1.8 lens.

Travel: 7 Days in London

If this is the first of my travel blogs from my recent trip to England that you’re reading, you’ve picked the right one! Back in September 2014 I took a three week holiday in England (and a couple of days in Paris) for the first time. London was obviously going to be the highlight, so I started the trip with seven days in London to explore, take photos, and see as much as humanly possible. I got sick as soon as I got there (probably from the 24 hours of travel) but I didn’t let it stop me – instead …

Travel: The Cotswolds, England

I took a day tour with Premium Tours to visit The Cotswolds from London to see what everyone calls the ‘real’ English countryside. We visited Burford, Bibury, Bourton-on-the-water, and Stow-the-wold. It was a great tour, there were so many cute little shops to visit and ice-cream to eat. If you want to get out of the city for a day and see something different, this is a good tour to do. All photos were taken on my Nikon D800 with either a Nikon 35mm f1.8 or 14-24mm f2.8. You can view more photos on my Flickr here.

Travel: Cornwall, England

Continuing on with my England photos, I spent three days in Cornwall after staying in London for a week – it was so refreshing to take a break from the city and be surrounded by nature and so much green! All photos shot with my Nikon D800 and Nikon 35mm f1.8 lens. If you’d like to see more you can view them on my Flickr. Day One: I arrived in the afternoon after a six hour train ride from London, and took a long walk along the coast from Carbis Bay to St Ives. The weather was perfect, and the pathways between beaches …

Travel: Brighton, England

During my three-week trip to England in September, I spent a day in Brighton with my friend Carly. It was such a cute coastal town, only an hour on the train from London. It reminded me a bit of what I’ve seen of Coney Island in the movies – pretty pastel colours, deck chairs on the beach, rides, a carousel and a ferris wheel. We walked along the ‘beach’, went shopping down through North Laine and The Lanes, and visited the Royal Pavilion – an old Indian-style palace (unfortunately no photos were allowed inside). Here’s a few of my favourites …
